Keolis is one of the largest passenger transport operators in the world and working in joint venture with Go-Ahead, the UK’s leading operator, they are market leaders in managing public transport franchises in the UK.
Vision 4 was engaged by Keolis to work on major UK Rail Franchise opportunities. Recent projects have included both Crossrail and East Coast Main Line; current ones include both Northern and Trans Pennine Express.
The commission for each franchise is to look at Station Asset Management on the respective networks. The responsibilities include the analysis of current operations, looking at performance in managing the assets, customer satisfaction levels and cost efficiency.
From the analysis of the current situation, Vision 4 developed new solutions working with a combination of self delivered services and supply chain proposals. The services covered in the Vision 4 design include cleaning, building services, station information and surveillance (SISS) systems, energy management covering the station buildings and platforms, car parks and external access routes.
Proposals are developed looking at the full lifecycle requirements of the station assets, integrating these with investment plans produced by Network Rail, ensuring the stations have robust Asset Management Plans to meet both current and future passenger demands.
